Dr. Nayeon Kim Kwon is a Korean-born cellist and educator trained at some of the world’s leading music institutions, including Boston University (Doctor of Musical Arts), the Yale School of Music (Master of Music & Master of Musical Arts), and Ewha Womans University.

She has appeared internationally as a concerto soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player, performing with ensembles such as the Boston University Symphony Orchestra and Yale Philharmonia, as well as serving as a substitute cellist with the Korean Symphony Orchestra and Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra.

Nayeon studied under distinguished cellists including Aldo Parisot, Michael Reynolds, Il-Hwan Bae, Sun-Yee Jung, and Ji-Suk Shin, and has played in masterclasses for legendary artists such as Bernard Greenhouse, Gary Hoffman, and David Geringas. She has also worked with renowned conductors including Bramwell Tovey, Peter Oundjian, and Hun-Joung Lim. A recipient of prestigious scholarships from Yale University, Boston University, and Ewha Womans University, she has served as Principal Cellist at multiple institutions.

Now based in Dallas, Texas, Dr. Kim Kwon is an active performer and dedicated teacher. She appears regularly as a member of the Dallas MusiK Society and the Ellas Trio, and collaborates frequently with other musicians in chamber music and community performances. Through her private cello studio, she brings her rich artistic background and international performing experience to inspire and guide the next generation of musicians
